The brief

They wanted the room they'd been describing to friends for years.

The old soaking tub was a climb the homeowner couldn't manage, so we pulled it out and built a low-curb walk-in shower in the same alcove. Polished marble-look tile on the walls, a hex mosaic floor underfoot, and a fold-down teak seat with grab bars placed where they're actually needed. A dual rain-and-handheld showerhead and a recessed niche round out the rebuild.
